Men’s Ministry is our group for all the men in the church to connect with one another, encourage each other and to grow together in our walks with God. We want to see men plugged into the life of the Church: who are both committed to and contributing to the realisation of the church vision.
City Women exists to draw all women, of all backgrounds, to walk together every step of the way. Whatever your world may be, City Women provides a place where you can connect, grow and learn to love God whilst having a fantastic time. Throughout the year there are lots of core events ranging from Saturday brunches to relaxing weekends away as well as action-packed Aspire Days.
Junior Church is a place where kids can build a strong relationship with Jesus and each other in a safe environment. We have a seamless structure for children aged 6 months through to 11 years old, when they move to City Gates Youth. Each class has a basic structure of Worship, Bible and Prayer with a mixture of games, arts and crafts, discussions and movie clips. Every class is staffed by a team of committed Christian volunteers who are DBS checked. Our aim is to help each child discover their God given potential.
City Gates Youth is a vibrant, welcoming youth group that aims to reach young people for Christ. In order to help them to discover who God created them to be, how they can serve others, receive support to fulfil their potential, and reach others with the message of the gospel. We aim to do this through, amongst other things, regular Friday youth services, drama groups and Bible study groups. At our core is our DNA – Dynamic service, Nurturing hearts and All about Jesus!
CGYA is our hub for young adults within the life of City Gates. It’s a place where we get relevant and real, establishing stronger relationships as we do life together. We meet every Monday (stay up to date on Facebook) so if you’re in your 20’s & 30’s at City Gates, there’s so much for you to be a part of.
Prime Time is our ministry aimed at the more senior members of our family. We are never too old to learn or be encouraged, and we are never too young to learn from others… our meetings are enjoyable for anyone who has retired and is looking to make new friends and find new things to do during the day. We regularly enjoy trips out to Mulberry House, Southend beach, luncheons, as well as afternoons of teaching, testimony and talks. We meet monthly – on the last Thursday every month.
While we love it when our Church gathers together on a Sunday, big meetings do not always allow us to really get to know one another. Many people in the life of our Church meet mid-week in smaller gatherings all over east London. These are called Connect Groups; there we have the opportunity to share life, share Jesus and study the Bible together.
The City Gates Partnership Course is your chance to find about the vision of City Gates, meet the leadership team and decide if this is the place you want to call home. This Course will give you an opportunity to discover what our core values and doctrinal beliefs are, as well as providing information on how you can become involved within City Gates.
